Artistic Director - Catherine Barribal
Classics Dance Theatre Company is the lifelong dream of Catherine Barribal, its founder and Artistic Director. Trained at Ballet Etudes in Norwalk, CT under the direction of Russel Fratto, at the Pennsylvania Ballet in Philadelphia, and at the Royal Ballet School in London, she has studied with Benjamin Harkarvy, Lupe Serrano, Jane Elliott, Julia Farron, Pamela May, and Dame Ninette de Valois. She has performed a wide range of soloist and principal roles for Ballet Etudes Repertory Company, Connecticut Ballet Theater, New England Dance Theater, and Alexander Roy London Ballet Theater; she has also been active in television, film, modeling and industrials, including co-founding and directing a dance/model company that produced promotions for Warner Bros. in London. She has choreographed for Westchester Theatre of Dance, Staten Island Ballet, New England Dance Theater, Connecticut Ballet Theater, St. Saviour’s School of Dance, and has served as Ballet Mistress and Assistant Director for Staten Island Ballet. She maintains a busy teaching schedule in New York and Connecticut, and currently trains with Maralyn Miles.
