The company, a non-profit organization, is a talented group of professional dancers. Devoted to the promotion of their art, the company members support each others' endeavors through collaborative spirit that generates exciting new choreography. The company continues to present quality productions with a repertoire that includes Little Women, A Christmas Carol, The Tales of Beatrix Potter, The Wizard of Oz, Mother Goose Suite, The Pied Piper, Cinderella, and Peter Pan, among other classical and neoclassical works. The company firmly believes in the importance of artistic exposure for children as a constructive, creative outlet that fosters empowerment and expression.
Our signature program, Invitation to the Dance, is an innovative approach to reaching young dancers with hands-on experience through a "day in the life of a professional dancer." The immensely popular full-day workshop allows participants to join the company in a local theater for class, rehearsals, backstage and costume lessons, all culminating in a public performance. This program nurtures children's creativity and encourages them to work cooperatively to explore their dreams.
Community Classics is another signature program. We merge with a local public school for a year-long inter-disciplinary endeavor. All students begin by exploring a literary classic in depth with their Art, Music, and English teachers throughout the year. It then expands to an after-school program with the company where students take part in all aspects of a full-length dance production, free of charge. At year's end, the page-to-stage transformation culminates with a series of public performances.
